What Is Blogging All About? February 10, 2010

Blogging should be fun. Right? Of course it should. I have went back and forth, reading about blogging and bloggers, and I started to grow some anxiety. Not to mention, during the blogging process, I began questioning what it really means to be a skilled blogger. And my main fear is keeping the interest of my audience.
Now, if I weren’t me, what kind of advice would I give myself? Hmm. Perhaps, I could simply begin writing about things that I like; things that reflect the person that I am. And then those things will reflect the audience I want to target. I’m not sure if it truly works that way. But we shall see.
But how do you what’s good? What looks good? What appeals to people? How to keep an audience?
Blog writing is one the most important parts to conducting a blog. Trying to figure out what to write and how to write can be challenging. There are more than enough creative ways of writing a blog, and then there are blogs that are more generally written (like the writing that’s in the newspapers, magazines, or online news sites) that play significant roles in news organizations.
This is all fine and dandy, but I am a visual interpreter as well as I am a visual learner. If I am on a blog, or even a website, I cannot see myself my browse the page if it looks boring, or poorly arranged. I simply browse elsewhere. I want to be interesting. And rememberable. Without any question, I know what this will be taking some time – to start writing and blogging interesting and clear topics.
For now, I’ll just be modeling top blog sites, gaining experience and practice, practice, practice.
I heard it actually works.
